Environment concept illustration (practice)

Initial rework - done a few months back before I hit a block on how to take it further. I was still basing this on the Red-Riding hood theme here of being stalked by an unknown animal deep in the forest.

Environment concept illustration (practice)

I'm trying to practice composition and visual storytelling: I decided to rework an old concept from 2012.
Initially I intended to play with the idea of Red Riding Hood lost in the forest, but then I shifted to something showing "The forests are alive".

At first I thought I could portray that with animals hidden in bushes, but then I liked the idea of trees having hearts. So here's my attempt at putting my thoughts onto a canvas.
